Worked all week, saw some good weather, crisp but sunny and dry.
Worked this morning, again, decent weather if a bit blustery.
Came home, had a bite to eat and the heavens open with gale force winds. Depressed is not the word. The forecast states more high winds, rainfall a plenty and even the mention of snow!

God doesn't like me!

Roll on summer, balmy days, warm evenings playing golf up to late evening.

I have just finished work for the week...(5.00pm sat) and guess what - the rain has just arrived and won't be going until at least Monday.
So it's either a good range trip tomorrow or go and get wet with my putter that has a butter grip in even the slightest of mist......

WHO THE H*** INVENTED A PUTTER GRIP THAT BECOMES SLIMEY WHEN WET. Maybe I should empty the shed and rain test my putter collection...

I know what you're saying Dave.

Spent a pleasant 1/2 hour practising my putting in the hallway until I was moved on by a Hoover wielding wife!

I did consider moving onto the landing but envisaged an errant putt bouncing down the stairs and crashing through the door window! I thought sitting at the pc may be a better damage limitation exercise!

He might like you after all, he might have let you go to the course put you're gear on fire that first tee shot miles down the first fairway bang smack in the middle then bang the heavens open up and you get soaked before you can get back to the car/clubhouse

I got up this morning at 8.30 to take my 1st daughter to dance class, it rained the whole time I was there. I dropped her back to the house and went to the course, the second I stepped onto the first tee the sun came out and had a great 9 holes fighting the blustery conditions and loving it the whole way round. Hopefully tomorrow will be similar.

Basher, after spending just short of five years getting my knee repaired, I was due to play football (for charidee, mate) for the first time this week.

However, God/Buddha/Flying Spaghetti Monster clearly decided to intervene and my back has decided to flip out and remain so for over a week now. Clearly this was the punishment for winning a society do with those 43 putts, but I would argue that being a Toon fan is punishment enough at the moment.

I know what I did to him.

I strutted onto the tee on Saturday confident of a good score and handicap cut,birdied the first,then gradually fell apart!

By the end of the round I was and am a broken man,reduced to hitting an iron off the tee on our last (par 5) in a bid to keep the ball in play. The result of my pride and arrogance - 28 points and the loss of a good few quid to the mates I had struck bets with.
