With all the fitting opportunities GM has given us over the passed few months, I was sitting bored and wonder which manufacturer was the most popular with the forum members.

I've just gone for the manufacturer name rather than model as there would be way to many, but you could always state you model type in you reply.

I know there are others, but you're only allowed 10 choices.

Nike Vr Pro Combo CBs......because my cousin (in law) is a teaching pro and did me a deal on them.

I still wonder what I'd be doing now if I'd chosen the Taylormades that I actually preferred.....

Went to Titleist with the 975D because they had such a great rep and stuck with them from there. They've also made nice bladed irons for years and I just liked the look and feel of them. Never got on properly with Scotty C's or Vokeys but that's my shortcoming not the clubs. When i was a kid just ached for Hogan Apex or Wilson Staff irons... Had disappeared by the time i got halfway good enough to appreciate them.

Sure I'll change one day and I've been plenty tempted by Mizuno and Cleveland which I just love. Never got on with Callaway irons or Ping - that's a personal preference - love the woods, wedges and putters though???!!! Daft, tbh. There's a wealth of great stuff out there so spoilt for choice really.

Through trial and error really, mizuno woods because they plain work,Tm irons as I wanted extra oomph, Tm wedges because of the sole allows me to play a variety of shots, Mizuno putter because it's lovely.

I now have 4 brands in my bag... Taylormade, Ping, Titliest and Benross. majority are TM...

Why? well i played all TM before i was lucky enough to get a new set, then i found the vokey wedges were the best for me, made a few changes at the top end and bought the clubs that performed the best for me, so thats where the ping and the benross came in.. So for me, i dont really care on the brand really, I pick what works best irrespective of brand.

Titleist

Because I got my set from a mate for cheap, love them though exactly the kinda think I was after (didn't want super GI and possibly grow out of them)

Taylor Made

Because I like them and give me good results

was all titleist bag until this week a ping g10 driver has come from the grave yard to take over from the 913 for now anyway. Its like the return of dirty den!!

Callaway irons and fairway woods for me. I've not got brand loyalty the irons sounded like just what I needed at a time and a price when I wanted some easier clubs to hit - can't say I regret it at all.

My fairway woods on the other hand I can hit nicely off the tee but on the deck forget it.

I recently got a very good offer on a second hand set of Titleist AP1 710's and decided to take the plunge and keep them as a second set when I visit the family up North. I decided to give them a trial run, had a fantastic round and couldn't miss from 150 yds in.

I'd never particularly wanted Titleist irons and was happy with my Ping i15's, however the feel, forgiveness and accuracy blew the Pings out of the water which was surprising given that there isn't a lot difference in offset, loft and length on paper.

The i15's are possibly a few yds longer, have a thinner top line and win on looks but the Titleist's are so accurate and solid on contact they leave the Pings wanting.

The Pings have now been sold, the Titleist's have been re-gripped and despite the thick top line, they have totally won me over. They may not be new or shiny but they work for me and have taken several shots off my round.

Mizuno irons , got fitted loved the feel and got good results dispersion wise , taylor made woods cos I like them , and adams hybrid cos it goes like stink out the fluffy stuff
