I read infrequently, but am halfway through I am Pilgrim by Terry Hayes, very good so far. Has anyone else read this and what were your thoughts ?

What is everyone else reading?

I got "running" ronnies autobiography for christmas, Pretty good so far.

Recently read Khaled Hosseini's 'And the Mountains Echoed'
Quite disappointing after his other two, jumped about a fair bit and I found it difficult to remember who was who.

Or perhaps my memory is going!

Got Bill Bryson's 'One Summer' from my brother for Christmas looking forward to starting that after my latest Jack Reacher!!

Currently browsing through a weighty tome collated and written by some bloke called Narey....
Might have a future with the written word......

Half way through John Grisham's "The Sycamore Tree." Then book one in the Jack Reacher series of books. And why was I such a Luddite???? (oops) Kindle's are fantastic!

what is this 'books' you talk of?

There was a scary article on Radio 2 with Jeremy Vine last year, and whilst I can't remember the exact figure, I am sure it was around 25% of homes with school aged kids living in them had no books in the house !! And not because they had kindles. We have a teenage daughter and our house is almost bursting with books.

Working my way through Lee Child's Jack Reacher series at the moment, very entertaining

I read many of them last year, but sickened myself be reading one after the other, have his new one to read from Santa. Still can't picture Tom cruise as Jack:o

Doon frae Troon; Or perhaps my memory is going! [/QUOTE said:
That's my excuse as well - old age lol

Just started the 'Game of Thrones' series which I'm finding hard work but I'm only a couple of chapters in so hopefully it'll get a bit easier once all the scene setting is done! Kind of wish I'd picked up The Hunger Games instead having just seen the films!

Polished off the Jack Reacher series in about 6 months good job I did before I saw the balls-up of a film or I probably wouldn't have bothered.

Fatty Batter. An old book I found in a charity shop. Very funny !!!

A quite brilliant book!

I'm reading a book called Stoner and also An Astronauts Guide To Life by Commander Chris Hadfield. The latter is quite brilliant and I highly recommend it. Not as good as Fatty Batter though! :)
