Hi all,

So back into the middle of summer!! All the girls back in there summer dresses and all that good stuff so... What are your golf plans for this weekend?

I shall be playing at AVGC on Saturday afternoon for a fun but lazy (1.48) tee time. I expect it to be a hot one and maybe not to much AVGC wind. My hope is to hit the ball well and have fun!

As it goes, we have two spots if any of you fine people would like to join in.

What you guys doing?

Al

No comps for me this weekend so just go out for a game in the morning (07:45) before getting dragged round the shops in the afternoon. If im a good boy shopping then I may also get a game Sunday morning too :D.

Also played yesterday at Slaley Hall in the 25 degree sun, it was lovely :)

I've got a men's match away to West Malling on Saturday and the monthly medal at Westerham on Sunday.

Need a bit of good golf for both!

Alex, do you know Lee Beattie at AVGC? I work with him, and some of us (not me unfortunately) are heading up there on 16th October.

Might have a session at the range and on the putting green tomorrow afternoon, then the monthly grudge match against the father in law on Sunday morning. Gave him 7 shots last time and he beat me 6&5! Wouldn't have minded but I was only +4 gross and playing quite tidily when he clinched it! He was +3 for the front nine playing off 16 :(

Oh, then Sunday afternoon, I'm packing, before my 11.30am flight to Miami on Monday. Woo hoo! 10 days on the beach in Fort Lauderdale... get in. Not taking my bats though as the good lady is coming. Might pick up some new golfing attire while I'm there though, prodiving I can find some X-Small sizing. :D

Club match vs Tylney Park tomorrow. Still got an unbeaten home record to defend. Lesson first thing Sunday so will probably spend most of the day working on it. Might do some <100 yard work too as my pitching is only 6/10. If I had the time I'd be out with the V-Easy too working on the putting stroke

I do know him, I have played against him a few times with his best buddy in pairs comps. He gets a lot of flack at the club as he is "the slowest player in the world" at the end of most comps someone will point out to me the 2 hole gap in the field and mention his name, not sure if its true or myth. I think he has been pulled up on it a few times by the club. I will say this though, he is a very nice golfer.

Really hacked off. I get off work at 13.30, but can't tee off til 15.30, due to societies. Why the flip have we got pm societies at this time of year? If I go out at 15.30, I will only be able to get in 13 holes, and those at a snails pace. I will be on my own too, as my usual partner has already said he's not going to bother.

18 holes tomorrow in the usual swindle, and then drving up to Northumberland on Sunday, ready for next weeks grudge match against the Jocks.

I played Gifford yesterday which was nice, and I'm going up to St Andrews on Sunday to watch the Dunhill but I've no actual golf planned.

I'll maybe see if I can get a lesson tomorrow afternoon, depending on how hungover I am :)

Monthly Medal tomorrow, hoping to keep up my form from the last couple of rounds I have played (last was 9 under H/C) but not expecting it so will go in there and just try keep it all together and see what happens
