I could, honestly, slap myself stupid at the minute.

Went to the range at lunch. Had 50 balls. Very happy with the results.

Take a wander into the pro shop to catch a chat with my pro about various bits an bobs. He was, however, serving a customer for some fitted irons.

Milling about I just happen across the putter section. Pick up the odd one here and there and happen across an Odyssey, similar to what Luke Donald uses (.....Had a 7 on the sole).

Assistant told me to take it out for a spin on te green.

Lovely. No other word suits it better.

Super easy to line up. Had a good responsive feel off the face and put a lovey roll on the ball.

I really am an idoit

Why didn't I just look? Why did I have to try it?

I have flirted with replacing my Scotty for ages not done it yet. A few tweaks here and there and my putting is back on song, why go out for burgers...

I'm not a bad putter, I only take around 30 putts per round as a rule, with 32 last weekend.

I won't change for the sake of it though.

BTW I sold my #7 when I bought my SeeMore, I found the milled face a far more consistant performer. The Scotty is no different.

If you're hitting 30 putts a round, had the putter fitted for you, then stick with it. Why change?....apart from the obvious new and shiny reason.
