Not to make anyone envious of me but I've got my clubs medal on Saturday, then charity day at bush hill park golf club on monday (check the website, lovely course), off to spain on wednesday 7th for a week (playing 3 times) then back for my clubs charity day on 17th May.

The icing on the cake is that I went over to play a few holes last night and was striking the ball lovely. Going to get a good few practice sessions in throughout this week.

A very happy golfer indeed.

I have been up most of the night with a sick child, you have just totally ruined my already bad day.

He he looks good hope you capitalise the opportunity and get some crystal.

I can nearly match that.

Medal on Sunday and then fly out on Friday to Girona, Spain for 6 days (6 rounds of golf). I just hope the weather is good.

Unfortunatley I am not striking the ball that well though.

Has anyone played in this area of Spain and were the courses good?

Got a friendly on Saturday with my regular cronies with a short game session ear marked for the afternoon/evening. have Sunday to myself so I'm planning a practice ground session am and a round on my own Sunday (late afternoon when it is quiet).

I've got the Jubilee Cup (4 ball better ball stableford) on Monday and I'm hoping my partner and I will have a squeek if we play to our potential.

I've already got the Friday before the bank holiday at the end of the month booked off along with the Tuesday and Wednesday after so I'm planning six days of nothing but golf every day

Playing in a comp on weds then a friendly on friday medal on sat off to spain sunday untill thursday staying at a mates villa golf every day jobs a good'un

I too am flying to girona! what area are you staying in? I played a couple of courses last year. this one was lovely http://www.golfserresdepals.com/index.php?lang=uk if its not too far from where you are staying i would play here. Although you have the choice of loads of courses which i'm sure are all lovely.

My birthday on Thursday, my parents coming up for few days so no Golf for me.

Sounds good mate, hope your form continues and the weather is good for you!

so that leaves this Friday free? Return at Wybo?

Working this friday, and i promise i'm not avoiding the re-match as you thumped me last time.

We've had a few new members from wybo recently, apparently they haven't been happy with the course or certain holes on the course being shut over the last 12 months.

We will definitely play soon though, and hopefully my fine form will continue.

We are staying in Playa d'Aro and playing the following courses

Golf d'Aro
PGA Catalunia
Club de Golf Costa Brava
Emporada Links
Serres De Pals
Platya de Pals

Serres de pals is the one i sent you the link to earlier, not sure if you have played any of them but they are lovely and the weather over in spain is great at the moment.

You're not too far from where we are staying. Hope you have a good time.

the course is in great condition though still off a temp on one hole. this is because of major restructuring on that hole over the winter and the new landscaped, triple, boxed, tees need time to bed in properly (the weather earlier didn't help but I'm prepared to wait). It's going to be a monster off the whites.
their issue with the course is, I think, that we do get closures. we're built on a flood plain - of course we get closures. still more room for me

i'm looking forward to it as i've heard good things. will pm you when i get back from spain to arrange a convenient date.

Not to make you jealous or anything, here's my two week itinerary:

Tue - work & look after kids
Wed - work & look after kids

repeat for 2 weeks with no time off for good behaviour as Pa-in-Law had hernia op yesterday and HID is up there every night helping out.

Now thats how to spend time, I'll have forgotten what a golf course looks like soon.

Have a good time Minty and let us know how your' game hold up under this scrutiny, it will be my turn one day.

Have my first comp lined up for Saturday and another round on Monday then rest of the week off to play whenever.

Not golf related but next Wednesday is the big day, off to Buckingham Palace with my Dad to collect his OBE. Pride is welling up already.

Can't match a week's worth but 8 of us are off to France on Friday for three days golf. As it's near Reims, I dare say a spot of champagne might figure in the itinerary too.
