Headed for Droitwich GC, started well till I stopped for petrol, put £20 in as I knew that would get us there, didn't take much notice till travelling along the M6 & the Sat Nav cut out, something made me look at the fuel & it was nearly empty. Found a petrol station & discovered I must have left the fuel cap on the roof & the flap was wide open, this increased my fuel to about 30 miles for £10. Without the Sat Nav missed the turning onto the M42 & got lost in Birmingham & had to put another £10 of petrol in, eventually conceded defeat as the tee time rolled past & still no clue to were I was, so headed home & somehow ended on the M6 toll to be told at the toll booth I'd come down it in the wrong direction, so £5.50 for nothing, so no golf, drove past the Belfrey numerous times & wished I'd have visited now, plus it cost another £20 in fuel to make it home & £7 for a new fuel cap.

shame, we've all been there, it's a "Falling Down" moment..............

I did similar abroad last year going to airport, I actually passed the bleedin airport 3 times and watched it from the motorway all due to some dodgy sat nav and a bad right turn on my part-twice:angry:
