Been really fed up at work for a while now, lots of pressure and stress but really under appreciated. My area of work is not great in the current climate so the management's stock comment is that we should basically count ourselves lucky to have a job so no pay rises, bonuses etc but plenty of unpaid overtime.

Anyway, very occasionally a decent position comes up and this morning I got a new job. Interviewed at 10.00, offer by 12.00 and should have a contract in the morning. So, my first piece of business in the office tomorrow is to tell them where to stick it. Very Happy:D

It gets better though. Having got the main business of the day sorted by lunchtime I had a free afternoon so what better to do than pay a visit to the club I am thinking of joining. I walk in and the first thing I see is a new members board. Sign up your name and leave your number and when you like to play and you can be contacted or contact others to get a game arranged, great idea. Spurred on by this as it is just the sort if idea that I was looking for in the absence of roll ups, I signed up for a month. Immediately get an offer from a couple of seniors to go out for 9 holes. They did not mind waiting whilst I nipped home for my clubs (the luxury if living 5 minutes away). Played pretty well as well.

So, one day, new job, probable new club and a couple of names to call upon to help integrate me into the club.

What a day

Buy a lottery ticket - NOW

Well done on the new job and new club - things on the up for sure :whoo:

Great day. Good luck in the new job. The new club sounds great, enjoy many happy rounds. We have something similar at ours, but its on the members part of the web site. Just leave name and number, when your free. Then sit back or ring someone who's name is already down. Works well.
