Money List Winner
Not as regular as I used to be on here. But I have to share this. I don't often talk about my rounds on here. But this is an exception today.
Second game in 6 months today. Been a bit pre-occupied as some of you will know. Weather wasn't great, but wasn't too bad. Some of you will know my game and how I've struggled with my consistency.
Anyway. Let's get down to numbers.
44 points (okay, so it's stableford, and I know it means nothing to some of you).
Gross. 87. First time ever below 90.
Net. 64. 8 under!
7 gross pars.
6 net pars, 7 net birdies, 2 net eagles.
Scored no worse than 6 on any hole, another first.
Finished with the same ball that I started with. (Another rarity)
No idea about putts or GIR as I wasn't recording them.
Needless to say. I'm chuffed.
SS2 software has reduced my handicap to 19.5!!!
If I was handing the card in for a new handicap. I dread to think what I'd be given handicap wise.
Reasons why I think I did well today.
Cleared my mind of the crap I'm dealing with elsewhere in my life.
Didn't 'think' about technique other than alignment.
Swung well within myself and never launched at the ball.
Mostly 3/4 and a bit swings.
Some of you might remember that I was selected for the GM AG putter fitting earlier this year. Although I can't say that I had a load of single putts. But every first putt was pretty much in 'gimmie' range. So the 'new' putter was going very well.
Sorry to have gone on. As I said, I very rarely mention specific games. But today was 'special'.
Happy New Year to you all.
