That didn't last very long. I can see why coaches were needed in the past, but perhaps it's surprising, with all of the computer and video analysis available these days, that players don't analyse their own game more.

I think Westwood said before that he isn't the most technically minded of players. Foley probably bored him to death.

I can imagine Foley zapping any fun out of the game. Suppose it did the job for Rose tho.
Westwood used to be a very good player but I can't help think that he needs to chance club manufacture to improve his game rather than his coach, Ping are awful.

And he might be significantly worse with a club manufacturer that doesn't make clubs for pros
Not sure about that as The Wild Thing used to play them a few years ago.

You never mentioned winning when you said they did not make clubs for Pro's, I am just remembering you that they did and would do so again it required. Has he won since changing clubs ?
Yes but I do think he can improve his golf using better clubs than Ping.

He has had Ping since he was a kid, He is completely at ease with them, His putting and his head are the only issues with Westwood, Best ball striker by miles. I am glad you have made that assessment by watching him off the TV

Westwood has 39 professional wins with Ping clubs
Daly has 5 and I think the last two ( Open and Buick ) where with Taylor Made
He is known as one of ( if not the best ) ball striker in the game
And everyone is golf knows what his problems are and it has zero to do with his club manufacturer
I was talking about Westwood with somebody yesterday, what is going on there he moved to the US to improve he's game, got rid of most of he's staff and all thats happened is he's games gone drastically downhill.Maybe things will change with the return on Billy Foster on the bag but its not looking good at all.Why doesent he hook up with somebody like Brad Faxon and get more confidence with he's putter as all this chopping and changing of staff is getting the fella nowhere.Its simple as the intial problem just seemed to be with he's putting but Westwood just seems to be complicating things.
