Westwood 10 under for the round...

Awesome display. He's just blown the opposition away. Some serious work required to catch him plus big Lee will have to play like a hacker for them to reach him.

Best of luck to the fella. He needs to get on the winning streak again.

Funny this, Westwood played well, awesome in fact, yet no-one has yet tried to belittle his play by saying it's a limited field, 6 less players than in the tournament Woods is currently leading yet people are very quick to point out Woods is playing a limited field comp in an effort knock him.

I'm not knocking Westwood, far from it, I just find it funny how quick people are to knock Tiger.

with all due respect, the way westy played on that course would have destroyed any field.. competing in a poor field is vastly different to "destroying" a decent field.... I can confidently* say that no one would have lived with that round today.

I'm not knocking his golf, but at 7 under during round two, people were knocking Woods for being in a limited field - seems it one rule for Woods and another for Westwood

So you don't see a difference between a player competing in a competition and a player destroying a course by shooting a 10 under. If woods shoots 10 under to win then im sure people will celebrate that fact.. The way Westy played today was exceptional and deserves to stand alone as an exceptional round of golf...

Lets face it. The only ones more motivated to do well in these tournaments at this time of year are those whose season hasn't been great i.e. Westy and Woods. I want both them to do well next season though Woods less so as he is obviously a nob!
However, some carry winter form through to the Masters then tail off for a while but ye never know.

It was interesting to see Woods record prior to his demise and a bad season was winning 3 or 4 tournaments one of which was always a Major!!! Considering our current World No.1 matched that minus the Major says it all really. Can Woods come back? Of course he can when you look at what he was though obviously not as prolifically as before.
Westy playing the PGA is a sign that he knows playing the Euro Tour will not win you Mayors so hopefully next season he'll finally bag one.

Misunderstanding,it was the slating Tiger bit i wasnt agreeing with.
Tiger had been slated for playing in a mediocre field.
Westwoods round was awsome
in any conditions.
However i stand by my statement that i dont think Rory will win,even though the
field is poor.
And as he is being touted as the next ruler of the game,he should be eating those
players for breakfast,just like Tiger did in the past.
 
I don't want westy to play badly. Far from it. I'd like every one else to play better than him, sure, because that would really be worth watching. I have nothing against him, except there are other players I prefer.

Ok, so he is the best driver of a golf ball. Ok, his iron shots are fine. His chipping and putting is average at best. This reminds me of Faldo. I do not need reminding of Faldo.

I liked seve, tiger, guys who make a score from no where. Mcilroy can do this too. And Garcia.

Westwood is dull. Boring. Impressive, yes, boring, yes.
 
watched him today and i think the diffrence was he holed a few putts ..which usually lets him down , tee to green he was fantastic ,and his distance control with his iron`s set him up to hole a few ..great to watch ...pity he`s from south of the border ...lol
