I'm looking for somewhere to play with a couple of colleagues next week.

Of those three (Westerham, Nizels and Hever) which is the best course? I've played Hever a few times, and although it's got some really beautiful holes (in particular in the back nine) I find some of the other parts a bit less interesting. I haven't played the other two. They're all similarly priced.

Kings Hill was the other option I thought about, which I was very impressed with when I played a couple of weeks ago, but it's got something on so not available.

I wish I could help but I've played all three and enjoyed them all, different courses but all are good.

I'd say Nizels over Westerham, has a few more interesting holes over water, although there are a couple or poor holes as well.

All 3 are entirely adequate! At least were when I last experienced them quite some time ago!

I actually prefer Hever, bur there's not really a great deal of difference except from 'personal preference'! Westerham is certainly more hilly, so a tougher walk - if that's a consideration. Also far less 'memorable' to me - except the 18th and a Par 3 up the hill. Nizels gets very boggy if it's been wet for any length of time - but that hasn't been the case for some time!

Nizels is nice - there is a thread somewhere on the forum which gives more info.

Hever is good, but I agree, there are a few bland holes.

I've played Chart Hills and that was enjoyable. A few further afield if you didn't mind a journey - Addington, East Sussex National, Dale Hill

Thanks everyone. I'm leaning towards Nizels on the basis I haven't played it before and actually it's the easiest to get to as well for the guys driving from London.

I am interested to know what the bland holes at Hever are? I have played all three of the courses and all of them have good and not so good things about them. Also depending what tees you play from will increase the difficulty more at Hever than at Nizels. Rest assured which ever one you play will be enjoyable.

having knocked it round all three courses my choice would be Hever. always in good nick and some testing holes when the wind is up a bit.
Nizels didnt really do it for me but its a decent track .
Weserham is as already stated in an earlier post a little hilly but its not a long course and i thought quite picturesque.

Hever is a little tricky at the moment...the greens arent exactly in great condition and they are currently treating clover all over the course, so the rough is a little longer and losing balls is very easy.

Of those 3 I'd choose....... The Neville in Tunbridge wells. I played it a few weeks back and cant speak highly enough of it.

Nizels and Westerham have their merits, but I've not rushed back to either.

Having played all three venues recently my favourite would be Hever. Not just for the courses but the quality of the food and service that make it an easy choice for a trip out. Playing The Nevill next week for the first time in ages so it will be interesting to compare.
