West Malling or Ashford Golf Courses

Not West Malling.

Wrotham Heath which is next door is better. I think there are a couple of Ashford members on here, I gather it's a decent course.

Redlibbets is also decent and more or less on your route, Tudor Park is too, wouldn't necessarily recommend it but it will cater for 16 well, there are loads to be honest.

Not too familiar with too many courses round there, but Kings Hill is pretty much round the corner from West Malling and a better option I think

Kings Hill is a bit further from the M20 (which I presume is the route being taken - down to Folkestone for the tunnel?) albeit not far. I certainly agree that it's by far the better course.

MashleyR7 and I are Ashford members

It's a tough tree lined course and usually pretty decent condition in April. Only downside is that it's very close to the M20 so it can be noisy but usefully close if you're going through to France. It's a genuine member course and the Secretary (Keith) is very helpful.

Any questions, ask away or pm

Kings Hill drains very well, so if it's been a wet winter/early spring, it's a great option.

I've played both courses as they are near to me, West Malling is alright, I'd advise the Spitfire not the hurricane if you do want to try it. Ashford's good, but personally as the weather gets nastier I head to the coast for the windy, albeith drier links courses.

last couple of years - I've played Kings Hill in April just after the greens have been tined and the greens weren't the best also the course looked a bit run down in April 2014 although it had improved this April a bit. Not sure if you were thinking of eating there as well but the food on both occasions wasn't great. wearing in mind the 2nd time round grub was a freebie as a society I play with complained in April 2014 it was a bit disappointing.

West Malling like both courses although both courses have had some significant changes over the last years or so and am not sure how they have bedded in.
