Off there tomorrow for an Open. Never been before. Anyone played it? Any advice etc.

Played it a couple of times it's a great course although it's been a long time since i did play it.
Dont be shy with your clubing they have yardages on some of the fairway sprinkler heads so look out for them even if you have a GPS buy a course planner.
Just when you think you have done the hard bit you finsh with two par fives, the 18th is very long as I remember.
Sorry i cant be of more help as i say its been a long time since i played there but i do remember the rough being very long so keep it on the fairway.

Excellent track. It is the 17th that is a long par 5. The greens are great but being links there is plenty of roll on the fairways. Expect plenty of wind which can crucify your score.
The par 3's are tricky where accuracy is required and the bunkers punish you severely. Superb recently renovated clubhouse. Sroke index 1 hole beter to be left rather than right and the next holepossibly 16 ensure you are left. Par 3 13 take plenty of club
