well? i went to st andrews thurs,and i was at turnberry last year.
I had forgotten how expensive the day was last year, only to find everything was MORE expensive this year!
I mean, its a great day out, i love it an all, but there seems to be an element of....well their in here now so, lets charge them a fortune!!

come on bigbiffa are you sure you are scottish. i went to turnberry and took a big packed lunch. had to buy their beer as pesky security wouldnt allow me bring my slab of tennants in .

Many years ago, whilst working in Croydon, I used to travel through Thornton Heath at 7:30 on a Saturday morning. Without fail I'd see a black guy strolling along sipping from a can of Tennants Super T - LEGEND!!

Yep, I started golfing while at ESN after starting there as a caddie. I was 13 when the European Open was there. The best part was watching Monty shank his wedge into the bunker on the 6th. It made me feel better about my game!

It's changed a lot since then though, the massive hotel for starters. It's been a couple years since I last played there.
