Hi,

Does anyone know how far the walk is from Virginia Water station to the entrance for the course? The shuttle bus doesn't start til 7.30am (I think) so I wondered if an earlier train got in how far the most direct route was?

I have done a few route map things but they all seem to go a bit of course when there looks to be a more direct route.

From memory it's a brisk 20-25 minute walk. The route is a bit convoluted however - was for me anyway.

There's a taxi rank right out the station, and you won't be the only one wanting to get there - even at that time

Thanks for the very quick response! I was thinking that there'd be others willing to share a cab fare as it won't be very expensive. Sure there'll be a lot of people getting off the early trains for the first tee times.

It's about 2 miles and a little further 2.5ish from sunningdale station. Cabs maybe easier to get from Sunningdale but that's just a guess. The walk from Sunningdale is more direct, straight down the A30 but as I said, it's about 1/2 mile further out.
