Tomorrow is our club champs and after missing it last year I thoughts I'd be all excited. I haven't hit a ball since last friday.... Not be interested.

So the night before.... And all I can think about is flying up to the Scottish open next friday!

As I said, weird!

Given that ours is scratch 36 hole stroke play, followed by a 16 hole match play play off, there's no pressure at all, given my handicap.

If we are talking handicap club championship, then it's not worth zip, so again, no pressure. The club champion is a scratch event to me. If it can be won by a 27 handicapper that's nonsense.

Two divisions murph, scratch and hc. Which they call the rose bowl.

Given how hard the course is playing I actually think the scratch event could be own but a 7/8 capper on form. So I'm not a million miles out ;)

Maybe you need a few weeks to a month off completely? I had a few years off and came back and love everything golf more than ever.

Well with no prep at all and fueled with eggs on toast as per every other weekend I shot a gross 80(net 69) for a 33% share of the lead after day one.

After a shakey start I had dropped 5 shots in the first four holes and finished the front nine at +9, the back nine just couldn't of gone any better -1 ... Two birdies one bogeys and six straight pars!

Bring on day two!

Same tomorrow then. Go for it

Great scoring on the back nine.

Who has the 34% share of the lead then?

For tomorrow - red sauce, brown sauce, or no sauce at all ?

Porridge, Baz. Porridge.

I made up a 4 shot gap to win a two day society comp by 3. All thanks to porridge for breakfast!

Nothing to do with the overnight leader getting hammered the night! ;) :)
