I'm thinking about getting a new driver .
Having a chat with some friends who are more technical than me, and who know my swing.
One suggested that I should try a firmer shaft rather than the standard ladies one.

As an experiment, I borrowed one of my husband's (many) old drivers gathering dust in the garage.

Same loft as mine ( 10.5*) but less flex.

I love it ! Definitely a bit longer and easy to hit.

It's in the bag to stay!

A lot of women club golfers with decent swing speed use A (men's senior) flex or R (men's regular). These would be a bit firmer than L flex and so long as they weren't too heavy (60g or lighter) should still be very swingable. If you ate spinning the ball too much then you should gain distance and accuracy with a firmer flex.

The first couple of swings felt heavy but I got used to it fairly quickly.
I'm sure you're right about me spinning the ball too much... I get good carry but comparatively little roll out with my old driver

You missed a chance to go shopping but worst yet golf gear shopping ? Shame on you lol

thats is the sort of thing my wife would say to me on all honesty ;)

My cousin went the other way and got a women's cobra driver.

Playing with him next week so will find out if he is still using it.
