Fleetwood Mac had another date confirmed at the London O2, I'm a regular fan of theirs having see them not so long ago in 1969!! I found 2 tickets on Ticketmaster in the raised seating on the first level, down in the corner of the arena, so not actually on the stage - cost before postage £277 !!!!

For that money I'd probably expect dinner with them with extras!!

........ or am I just being tight?

Well that will by them a lot of coke (allegedly)

I loved FM back in the 60s and saw them around 71 when they were in decline. Went off them in the later 70s when they became mega though..

I looked into this as well as I really wanted t see the full band including Christine McVie. In the end I couldn't justify the cost and with christams coming as well it didn't make sense. Shame though.

One of the ticket options, is where you get to meet Mick Fleetwood and you get a bit of a tour - silly price though, and you may get a sore neck.;)

That's a serious amount of cash isn't it....
Add in getting there, refreshments, memento etc and MrsD will have to put you back out on the street to pay for it!

I don't care how good a band are/were that's too much!

I was going to look at this having missed out on the last batch, but I do wonder at the price; we paid £187 for 4 of us to see Bryan Adams, £94 for 2 of us for Status Quo, that does seem to be taking the proverbial.

£277 seems good value when you consider, Top Gear live, the bairn fancied going to see them so I had a look and saw that you could get a ticket package that let you get close to the action and other stuff, so put in 4 tickets and it showed £190, okay not bad for 4 people, went to pay and found it was £190 per bleedin ticket, £780 for the 4, no thank you.

For that price I'd want the Stig, Hammond, Clarkson and May to come and chauffeur us from my house to the arena and back once the show was done.

I think to some extent they know their audience is mostly going to be made up of affluent middle to old age people, so they can charge accordingly. And a lot of the tickets will probably be part of some VIP package Platinum tickets scam. In the good old days seats nearer the stage were just that, seats nearer the stage. Nowadays it seems they are rebranded 'Platinum seats' and a massive premium is added to them. Rob dogs the lot of them.

As you say, at that price it is just silly and no band is worth that. I saw Prince at the NEC this year for 40 odd quid, was 10 yards at most from the stage at the front in the standing area and whilst I know other opinions are available, I would argue he is just as much of an icon as Fleetwood Mac. Plus he know how to put on a show and not just rattle through a back catalogue sounding pretty much identical as they do on record for the money, as I suspect a lot of big bands do nowadays.

I'd expect to be the star in a reasonably priced car in the next series for that price.

My boss bought 2 of the tickets mentioned previously where she'll get to meet Mick Fleetwood. Scary prices, over £1k for the 2 tickets.
So in fact 1 ticket > my annual subs :O

I did see some VIP Mick Fleetwood tickets mentioned somewhere and wandered what they would be. Bit sad that someone is willing to pimp themselves out to make a few extra quid, not really rock and roll is it. And I suppose even more scary that someone is willing to pay over 500 quid to meet him.
