well I played yesterday... not bad at all

played yesterday in the medal after my accident Friday, I know I should have rested but the forecast was good and although I still had discomfort in my posterior and stiff shoulders I thought what the hell.

Shot a 99 for a net 71 in blustery conditions and greens that can only be described as crap!

Considering it was my 1st ever round with the new irons and putter in the bag I was pretty chuffed, especially with a quadruple bogey and 2 triples on the card .

I have to say the nike VR full cavities are a dream to hit, quite high flight but apart from 1 duffed 8 iron, I hit them very well indeed. I had 4 1 putts and only 1 3 putt so the ping anser is showing promise also.

Still a few stupid mistakes but all in all I was just glad to have been able to play.

Found out my friends are taking me to Forest of Arden on Friday so can't wait

I actually think it helped yesterday after the slight fall as my shoulders were very tight so mostly used a 3/4 swing and hit some of my best drives, still had a couple of howlers & crappy short game as had no feel at all.
