The boy is back in town, another great win, this time over a higher quality field on a bloody tough golf course - well done Sergio.

Heres hoping he pushes on and finally bags himself the major he deserves.

I like Garcia. He is the closest we have to Seve in the modern game with his gung ho attitude and heart on the sleeve approach. I posted on here after last week that I feared his putting would still be suspect in the pressure cooker of a RC on US soil and in majors and still think that. However his ball striking and short game were brilliant over the last two weeks and if he can truly lay the putting ghosts to rest would love to see him contend again at the very top level

When the putters hot Sergio can beat anyone, his play over the last 2 weeks has been nothing short of superb, I really do hope he gets himself a major as he is a thoroughly liked character on the European tour

Great to have Sergio and Jiminez battling it out over a quality course for a big prize. Nice end of season bonus for the arm chair fans.

I too like Sergio for all his outbursts, he wears his heart on his sleeve and at his best is a joy to watch. His game tee to green these past 2 weeks has been marvellous, whether driving, approach play or short game but I admit when he's putting from 6 feet and in I still sometimes feel I want to look away. He's definately getting it back though. Wonder what odds you'd get on a major win next year?

Interesting to see the comments about Sergio's putting. Comparing his stroke to Jimenez's - Sergio's stroke is back & through but Jimenez's has a nasty loop in it and hits lots of putts out of the heel.

It's just that Sergio holds the thing as though he is trying to put a cat in the bath!! His pace putting was also very good, in his slump the ball would dribble up towards the hole, now it seems as though most putts are given a good chance.

Like having a new star back on the block - fantastic to see.

It's a real shame his putting has let him down so badly in recent years, because tee to green there are few better. If you combined his long game with Donald's touch round the greens you'd have some golfer.

The irony is that, so rumour has it, you would have given Garcia 20-footers as an amateur so good was his putting.

Good showing for Sergio - think his decline may be recersing.

Shot of the week must have been Miguel's wood to the 17th - what a fairway wood that was.
