Nothing sarcastic from me this time, just well done for doing the right thing. :)

:whistle:who will do the ironing and get the tea ready now,how do they find time to golf with all the chores they have to do,selfish things,to love honour and OBEY,get off the course and get my dinner.

I know. Just imagine what will happen when they eventually get to the 1960s and notice that people don't put a jacket, shirt and tie on to eat a meal anymore. It will blow their minds man.

Clubs and organizations have rules to be adhered to, generally they are there for all to see, if you don't wish to abide with these simply don't join in the first place.

Which an increasing number of people aren't.

Thats absolutely fine by me.

Interestingly I have a ladies only gym down the road from my office, its about the same distance as the mixed gym of which I am a member. Do you think I should exert my legal right (as a man) to join the ladies ONLY gym and hence potentially spoil the enjoyment for a whole host of lady members, or simply maintain the status quo and stay at the club where the rules welcome me?

If you think the principal of a man being able to join a women's gym is technically, morally and symbolically the same as a woman being able to join the R&A, and not a 'tit for tat' tired old argument, then why not, go for it.

I don't feel that it's that 'epic'. Let's sit back and wait for several million women to suddenly take up golf.

Not quite sure they did it to ensure that 'millions of women' will 'suddenly' take up the game, as some things are done as part of small but very symbolic and significant changes to hopefully improve things over the long term.

But if that's how you judge the success of it then you are right, it wasn't that epic. Not even sure why they bothered to be honest.

Equality works both ways, so yes in principal it is the same argument.
