just remembered my dream from last night. i was choosing which Scotty Cameron putter to buy!!!! now i like my Yes Maryiln and am not looking for a putter but its got me thinking about it. im in the process of getting fitted for a 910 d2 driver and possible fairway wood. have just read up on SC putters and they do look good. i must have a weak mind cos im also thinking about the January sale at golf monthly, anyone else:mmm:

Mmmmm sales, I just got a new G20 23° Hybrid and thinking of a 3 or 5 wood. This got me thinking though if i get the wood that will give me 14 clubs am I right in thinking thats all i'm alowed to take on a round and what happens once you have bought all your clubs.

You convince yourself it's time for some new ones and start all over again... :D

Play for a year with them then tinker again

Get fitted for a putter while your there

I'm driver hunting, closing in on my prey, hope it tastes good!

anyway to get back to my dream, the SC whats the deal forget about the cost. i like the idea of the process in making my grain flow forged irons. so my natural putter thinking would be the same mizzy putter! so SC owners why did you pick SC.

Went into the shop wanting a new putter and was torn between the 2 ball and a newport 1.5? picked the SC and that was that although I lost confidence in the bladey type and ended up with some cleveland classic mallet thing. Couple of years later went into a shop to buy a GG jacket and walked out with the fastback which I really cant see changing anytime soon.

I had a weird dream last night too that was golf related. I was on the course and every shot went where I aimed and I had a short game. Definitely a dream.

I'm not in the market for new clubs but the I20 irons have really caught my eye and I can't wait to hit the RBZ range. Odyssey are supposedly bringing out a range of milled faced putters. Only most of the bag up for grabs again then!

I have three sc's. I had four, but that was silly. What drew me to sc? The machining. The quality, weight, lie, construction, etc. I am an engineer (not a washing machine repair man). I design stuff. I know what I like, and sadly, it is never cheap.

The oddessey black series comes close. But to me, all oddessey putters sit closed. It's probably me, but they do. Bettinardi (proper ones) are fine, beautiful, but don't suit my eye.

Ping feel like fisher price. They just do. Except my dad's berylium copper b60 which is awesome. Except I can't putt with it. I have wanted this putter for 20 years, and when he gave it to me, I thought life could not get better. Then I was gutted to find I couldn't get a feel for it. There is probably a reason why putters are no longer made from bc. (well apart from the fact that machining it produces carcinogenic dust).

best answer so far, i think there is SC addiction centre somewhere. are they made from a softish metal/high grade. i like the new mizuno forged but not had my hands on them.
my first putter was a ping lookalike that a friend of my grandfather made. it had the wee gap behind the face it was propr mint. had it 7 years then it fell to bits soft metal as it had a curve in the face, happy days
