It's our wedding anniversary soon and HID's fancies a weekend away.
She's said she wouldn't mind stopping somewhere a bit upmarket (obviously without the ridiculous price tag!) and get this, she's ok for it to be a golf hotel so I could get a round in over the weekend! :)
OK, it'd be a solo round but who cares, it's a round of golf.

So looking for anywhere, preferably central England, around the end of the month on a Fri, Sat, Sun nights accommodation.

Any suggestions people?

Have a look at Forest Pines - not too far from Yorkshire. The facilities and courses are top class, HID would be absolutely pampered and you could sneak some golf in while that's going on.

Saw the KP golf club on sky tv the other day,it was hosting
the Trilby Tour,it looked fantastic, private lodges, etc.and the golf is only about 20 quid, not too far away at
Pocklington.

Not being funny, but having stayed at Forest Pines a couple of times I wouldn't call it particularly "upmarket".
It's ok for a lads week-end away, and yes..the courses are good. But it's the last place I would think of if I wanted to give my missus a "special" treat.

Have stopped here before.

Much more "upmarket" and two golf courses on site.
;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

Another shout for Breadsall Priory, the deals are good, and the meals associated with them are excellent. Thonk they also do a non golfer and golfer package that includes meal and breakfast.
