Finally managed to achieve something today that I've been targetting for a while, namely a card with nothing worse than a bogey on it. Hurrah.

Not surprisingly it also led to my lowest gross score round my home track- many others would be disappointed with 80 gross but I'm delighted. :whoo:

Just in the winter turn up comp so not a qualifier but proves it can be done.

Well done sir , keep it up for next years old KOKs comp.

Well done - that's a good milestone to hit

Get it done with a card in the back pocket and a nice cut

It really is the key to get to single figures. Limit the bad holes to bogeys. Couple of birds thrown in and you will have a very respectable score.

Well played lad

A round like that is a bit like the first time I left no open frames in 10pin bowling. I am yet to have a double free round on a full 18 hole course as far as I know, even my best round of 77 had one double in it!

I have shot a load round par 3 and short courses (par 3/4 courses). I think even when I shot 6 over and won a scratch cup I had one double but that was too long ago to remember!

Really well played, it was my target last season and I only managed it in a team open, which doesn't really count. Its hard if you are a mid-handicapper.

Love hearing people hit their milestone just as Mother Nature gets moody. It's great for motivation through the winter months
To be fair Mother Nature was in a very good mood yesterday - weather was sunny and only a 13 mph wind, which is flat calm for North Berwick :-)

Back out playing this afternoon so no doubt the golfing gods will re-establish normal equilibrium!
