Afternoon all,how many wedges(not the potato ones) do you carry in your bag ? I have a Ping G25 pw and sw at the moment, thinking of getting a lob wedge any thoughts or would this be another club to carry round not being used much ?

PW and SW, dont need anything else- learn to manufacture shots, it's far more fun

There will be many a long in a minute saying you need 4 wedges and a 60* for that 'occasional' shot. Learn with what you have first, you can add later when your a wedge master:rolleyes:

Summer it's PW, GW, SW, LW.

LW gets ditched in Winter as it's a liability.

I'm a Sweeper/Slider so low bounce wedges off fairway. High bounce is for Sand and longer Rough. Better to get the best tool for the job in the first place than having to manufacture something imo! Game is hard enough to play with shots I've practiced a lot, let alone the shots I haven't practiced much - if any!

Your g25 sw is 54 degrees. Imo a 58 degree wedge is a great tool in the correct hands

Plus 1 on this

Gives you more options for full shots from closer in

Presume your PW is about 47 so your 54 and a 58 would fit in nicely

3 wedges is enough for most people, 2 is good of you are proficient with them , 4 is down to individual choice
