Guys need a little advice please.

I would like to work on my short game in the new year prior to the season start and will be looking to get 1/2 new wedges.

I currently just have my G10 PW & SW. Were fitted with black dot (3.75 degree upright if memory is right) and an extra inch and half. Now I assume any wedges I get will need to be a similar set-up?

I would also like something that only goes 70-90 yards max but will the right bounce to allow me to work with it around tight lies around greens.

Current SW(54 degree according to Ping site) distance in case its relevant is 110yd full shot.

Please help!! Don't really understand wedges and bounce etc if i am honest. Thanks

Black dot is standard, 3.75 is silverdot

you hit your sand wedge 20 yards too far.
Get a 58 degree wedge or 60 degree that should be a good
choice for a 70yrd shot

this link will help you understand bounce etc and wedge fitting

Also there is another post called How Many wedges do you carry??? on the forum posted by my self thee is lots of info on there too !

I'd have thought a 56 or 58 would do you well. If you hit the SW 110, you want an 80-90 yard wedge......a 60 degree lob won't get the job done, you'll need to find an inbetweener.

Don't get too much bounce it'll drive you crazy on tight greenside lies.

If your Pings are longer and upright, you may need to go custom fit, you'll never get this on a take-away offer.

MVP thanks for correction. You are of course right, they are silver dot.

Anyone got thoughts on Ping wedges? Had a quick shifty at their website and apparently they can custom make my wedge to the same spec as my irons with my serial number.

Will check out the recommended sites and posts tomorrow as I am shattered now.

But just quickly, a high bounce is bad for around the greens on tight lies? :D I'm lost and hopeless!

Thanks for responses so far.
