Hi all

Got a midweek society day coming up in a couple of weeks at the Weald of Kent Golf club. Anyone here had a round there/been a member that could give me an insight?

Cheers

I played there a couple of years ago.

I seem to remember it being ok. The clubhouse is quite good if I remember correctly.

The course has some water on the parts low down near the clubhouse, but to be honest I think the course, although in reasonably good nick, was largely forgettable.

They tend to do good deals, and worth playing at £15 or so that is available on teeofftimes etc.

You've pretty much summed up my thoughts....I actually played there a couple of years ago but cant remember a single hole there.

I think the deal I've got with the society is £30 for breakfast, 18 holes and 3 course dinner....good times.

I remember teeing off over water on the first, and a decent carry over water in front of the green on the 9th, but that's all!

As a nomadic golfer, or for a society it represents good value (your deal sounds good), but now that I’m shelling out for membership fees I am far more selective about where I spend further cash and would probably give this one a miss, given the other options available in Kent / Sussex.

Much as above really a pleasant course but nothing too stand out about it.
Most fairways have drainage ditches so you need to decide if you can carry or lay up.
A laser is a must.
Think last time I played I used a 5 wood most of the time on the longer holes.

Food was good there, so is probably why its popular for societies.
