Watching the Euro events on Sky I'm very impressed how Radar calls the play and it actually happens time after time, his understanding of a golf course and how to manage shots is impressive, I know he's been a tour pro but he could make a killing as a top caddy, just the guy you want on your bag!.

You're so right and his reads of greens is spott on. "Here's (Insertnamehere) with a 6 foot birdie putt he needs to play it three inches right of the cup so when it cuts back from the left it'll be dead centre". (Insertnamehere) then proceeds to miss by an inch left, "the problem there was he only put it two inches right of the cup".

He was a decent player in his time. Good piece about him in GM and I reckon had ne not had the marital strife and injury might have played longer and won more. I love some of his comments. One at Wentworth about playing off the wet fairway "like hitting out of chicken vindaloo". He's great. Would love a game with him. Reckon he'd be great fun

At times he can be annoying but certainly knows his stuff and is certainly better than Feherty

But Ken Brown is still my fav

think he's making more- consistently with less hassle- with his current role

Yep, there's probably a reason that those who have made it at the top don't continue on as caddies!!

Love Radar and am always disappointed when Sky dropped him in the past for the bigger events. Easily their best commentator.

Agreed, his commentary is both insightful and at times funny. It's usually the first page I head to when I buy the mag.

I seem to remember at a European televised tour event in the mid 90's Radar completely losing his rag, the memories a bit vague and I cant remember what it was about but it was very amusing, the guy beats his own drum and you've got to love him for that.

Watching the BMW last week and he described an approach shot facing Rory, detailed how he would probably play it and finished by saying "I wouldn't be surprised if he holes this" which, of course, promptly happened. I guess it could have been on delay and he knew it but I don't think so..... A good moment in the coverage.

Not sure it would be his idea of fun though :p

He was walking with them on the course - no delay there!!
