I know in the past there have been a few threads on this matter but they were a while ago, I wondered if many of you had a waterproof bag.

If you don't have one do you just use a bag cover when it rains? I have one of these but once it is on you cannot really get to any of the pockets.

This has go me thinking about a fully waterproof bag, a friend has an H2no and it looks good and there is a new one out soon and there are a few others Callaway and Ogio do one too. (though the Ogio is around £250 so thas out)

So what do people have / do to keep there clubs and equipment dry in the winter (other than stay in as that's not really the option I was looking for)

Sun Mountain H2NO is what I've got and it really is waterproof.
OK it's got a huge hole in one end but if you use the waterproof rain cover then not much gets in.
Stuff stays dry in all pockets.

I don't understand why there aren't more waterproof bags.
The majority, as Murph so eloquently put it some years back, are made of the same material they make Teabags out of...

Exactly my thinking, unless they are more aimed at the US market and people don't play in the rain there, if we are honest anytime has a chance of rain and the bags are more absorbent than waterproof.

I'm also in the hunt for a waterproof bag. I had the pleasure of playing Dartmouth champ course last weekend. Mega winds and tsunami rains left my bag and all contents completely soaked. I currently have an Adams cart bag. It has a rubber surround at the top that the clubs snugly clip into, eliminating club rattle and damage. I hate any rattles or squeaks so will really miss this feature. Do any other bags on the market have this feature?

I have a motocaddy PRO series although not claiming to be 100% waterproof I havent had any issues with it not keeping everything dry.

I too also found it amazing the amount of 'tea bag' material bags that are made and sold

They do, somebody on eblag is selling them for £159, which seems cheap.

I got mine cheap earlier in the year (not that cheap though) and I'm fairly sure it's last year's model, not that it matters to me.

It makes life so much easier to just let it get wet and not worry about everything in the pockets getting soaked. I love mine.

I've just bought a Powakaddy premium cart bag, it's PVC. Been out once in downpour and it seems to do the job. However I think the only real waterproof ones are the sun mountain.
I bought the powakaddy premium bag 15 months ago , and have found it is waterproof . But the bag has become frayed and worn badly on the rim of the external putter well, also the zips are starting to have problems.
But Powakaddy do not do repairs on golf bags outwith their warranty period.
