Hi all

Due to play here on Wednesday for a society day.....anyone got an opinion on the place or anything that would you beneficial to know?

As always.

Adam

It's a course that was (or still is) owned by the Council - enough said!. A few OK holes but it's pretty unremarkable - some decent views from memory. Weather been amazing down here so hope the sun still shines and you enjoy the day.

Not played it for a few years, but is certainly a hilly walk. All long the edge of the Sussex downs, so the views are worth it. Council course as mentioned, so condition....?!?! You'll have a good time anyway!

Used to play it quite regularly when first starting out. It's "okay" but be prepared for rabbit holes and turds all over the greens. Some reasonable holes, but also quite a few forgettable ones too.
The 12th hole along the top of the course certainly plays to it's stroke index (1).
1st hole (easily driveable par 4) is where I snapped the shaft of my 3 wood on the chain link fence with my practice swing.....:o:o

I found waterhall to be a mixed bag yesterday. I don't want to be too critical of the place as I actually really enjoyed the day and the round.

1. Many of the greens are absolutely tiny and of poor upkeep. They were incredibly slow also.
2. I don't think I spotted 1 decent tee box
3. Some of the holes and views are absolutely stunning
4. the rough punishes you....it REALLY punishes you.
5. So many daisies on the fairway and first cut that finding your ball was often difficult
6. Don't be fooled by the 5,500 yard course distance....its a real slog (hilly) and plays really long
7. The footgolf holes all over the course irritating

Despite all of that, I'd love another crack.
