Hi all,

I have a Toyota Yaris and last night coming back from the club I was in a bit of a rash and had the air con on full blast for about 20 mins. When I got out of the car there was a rather constant drip of water coming from the very back of the engine bay/firewall. I know little about cars but I would guess that it was air con related as the car has not asked me for water today and I dont use the air con very often.

The dripping stopped after a while and has not started again today.

Does anyone have any idea?

Thanks

Al

It's perfectly normal, nothing to worry about if the water is clear and tasteless ;)

It looked clear and I did not taste it :o. So what is it then?

It's just the moisture out of the cars atmosphere condensing into water and escaping through a purpose built drain.

All part of normal A/C operation, the problem comes when the drains inside the car fill up with smelly bacteria and algae and you get the inside of the car flooding and stinking.

Cheers
