It might be old news, but just seen on Twitter that there's going to be a water bar open in London's Selfridges, I thought it was an April Fool, but it appears not. Now from my days at school I was told water had no taste, no colour or smell, but according to water sommelier Martin Riese that is not the case.

I guess the saying a fool and his/her money are soon parted will never be truer when you see the people who'll buy into the hype.

I believe there are also cereal bars in London where you pay silly amounts for a bowl of cereal. Not a bacon buttie or a freshly made croissant. Just plain cereal + milk in a bowl. There really are a lot of stupid and rich people down there.

there is a guy selling costwold air in jars and exporting it to china for like 50 quid a pop.

The cereal place is near my work, i think they have closed now. They did have some weird and wonderful cereals from round the world, not just coco pops..

To me bottled water is morally repulsive in this country as the environmental cost of putting water in a bottle when you can get it out of a tap is stupid. It's frikkin water for chuffs sake. I never ever have bottled water in UK restaurants and always insist on tap water. And to be fair to most restaurants they bring it without any quibbles.

I bet that coco pops were the number one seller though.

I always insist on my water without quibbles too... or foibles for that matter, they add nothing to the taste :D

Could it....

So where does post #3 fit into this statement...

When away from home I'll often have bottled water as some regional tap water takes a little getting used to...
Well, so my stomach tells me...
Shock horror. A hotel selling a choice of waters.... But a bar opening purely to sell water.....again, only in London.

Calm down everyone this isnt actually happening!!!

1 reporter misread a PR release, and then tru to the typical lazy-journalism culture that exists, the rest just copied.
