Warning on Ecco Ultra Performance.

I emailed Ecco after reading some story about a possible Batch Manufacturing fault which causes the toe crease to split and after 3-4 weeks I get a response: -

Dear Mr Parmo

Please accept my delay in responding to your email.

ECCO have currently put a hold on orders for the Ultra Performance due to a possible Batch Manufacturing fault which is currently under investigation so for the time being I would not recommend purchasing this model until the matter has been resolved.

As for the stinger cleats the replacement cleats we offer are Grey rather than red.

If I can be of any further assistance please do let me know

Quite shocking that though they replied some online retailers are offering them on sale.

Glad I cleaned my FJ's up now and replaced the cleats.

I would be worried for Ecco, all that cash on advertising and then not properly test the shoes themselves lol.

I must admit when I saw the advert, my first reaction was "they look nice" which then quickly changed to "hmmmmm, very gimicky"

I've got a pair of Ecco shoes that I won and I have to admit they are the best shoes I've ever had, still not sure I'd buy another pair at the price though. On the up side at least they are being up front about it and not burying their heads in the sand.

I bought a pair of Ecco shoes (not Ultra's) kinda on impulse at the start of this season, and I have to say they are really nice shoes! They also cost me £120 which did hurt My feeling is that they are not worth the cost when compared to Footjoys so I probably won't buy another pair, but they are VERY comfortable!
