With the heatwave we are currently having in the UK has anyone else noticed the big jump in distances?

Its not just a little further either, I'm talking 10yrd-150yrds carry extra.
I've never airmailed so many greens and it really was hard forcing myself to hit a club or more less when I know the ball should be landing 15 yards short.

2 really stand out, I hit our par5 3rd hole yesterday with a drive and a 3 iron. It takes a drive and a 3 wood to even get close, never mind land the ball on the green and our 13th par4, my drive went straight through the fairway and onto the semi/rough cut. My second shot, a 9 iron, went 160yrds carry!! Thats a good 15yrds further than it should...

The extra length is welcomed but I'm looking forward to it cooling down and my distances can go back to normality.

Balls are optimised to work best at 70 degrees F...
Any more than this and you don't really find any benefit. Below 70 and you start to lose distance.
Less humid air can increase your distance...
You could also have just been swinging well....

Not really anything, my course is full of nasty bounces.

I hit a green with a 3 iron from 195 where usually a 3 is front edge. It was the best contact of the round too and ended up 1ft from the hole.

I put that down to a good contact though as I can eek out 190 from the tee on par 4s with it too.

I noticed about a club difference today, got carried away at one point and factored it into a gap wedge shot, which of course isn't going to be so different, and came up a club short. :(
