Anybody got a motocaddy S1 axle going spare? Maybe somebody has one knackered that is stripping for spares?

I know they are available as spares from motocaddy.

worth looking on ebay if someone has one listed for spares? (you can get them from motocaddy but wont be cheap)

we have a member who repairs trolleys at our club, Ill ask him if he has one (he usually has 5+ broken down trolleys). small word of warning after I did the axle on my last motocaddy i kept having problems, mainly with the various plastic joints breaking

Cheers mate, £35 from motocaddy as it includes the gearbox too. Mines been rock solid since I got it, so will be giving it a service and tightening/replacing bits when I have to strip it.

At £35 that doesnt sound too bad compared to some of what they ask for their spares (unless theyve improved!) Will ask tomorrow for you anyway and let you know

I brought an s1/explorer from the craw and it turned up with a broken the dam courier. I looked at buying one and fitting it mayself but the older s1/explorer is an absolute pig to change. I ended up getting it done by a company near brands hatch for about £50 supplied and fitted complete with a new gear box.

One month in and the new gearbox blew its self to bits, had to have another new gear box in it. To top it off once I had it repair it was apparent that I had left it so long that the batter had now crapped out, so another £60 on a battery.... £110 in spares/repairs and £150 to buy the trolley, I should have just brought a new one and had done with it.

In my opinion unless the battery is relatively new, I wouldn't bother given the trolley is worth around £100-150 max.w
