Any make or models considered, preferably in very good or good condition.

If you want to sell such a thing, please post the details in here - make, model, bounce, condition, shaft flex etc.

You can pick these up at sports world (Dunlop i think) for about £6
Worth trying at that price , if only to learn how hard they are to use properly and confidently
Mind your chin if you hit it well and mind everybody else if you don't

I have no problems at all using lofted wedges, my short game is very strong;
wanted to try a 64 degree to experiment, and have a bit of fun with, before i commit to adding a new good quality stick to the bag.

I have been using a 64 for a few years now, a great little wedge around the green, and great for coming out of the sand.

I only paid £20 for my one, its a Wilson Harmonized now selling on E-bay for £17:50 !!!

Take the advice and buy a cheap one first.

by all means try a cheap one, but try & choose a reasonable quality cheap 64' wedge I'd advise looking for something like a Hippo 64' HWT Forged & you may well find that if you like the wedge you may not need to upgrade to anything better. There really are very few makers producing a 64' wedge these days. And there are certainly better budget wedges out there than Dunlop SportsWorld wedges.

I got a 60 degree dunlop for the missus one weekend she picked one up as she decided she liked the look of it. It only made her bag on one occasion, she found it too heavy in use to swing & not in a good way as you might with a vokey. I inspected the club when she rejected it & it was clear from a first swipe that the balance of the club was all off & no matter how good or bad a player, it would not be a rewarding experience & could actually put some people off using anything as lofted as that again, when all that is needed is a little initial thought in the initial choice. It is also true that you do not need to spend big money on a wedge, but it is important to spend that little amount of money wisely on the right club with a view to quality of the club to give a quality experience.

There are many good deals to be found on wedges these days & still get quality of product & performance of product.

I use a 64Deg wedge about 3 or 4 times per round and find it really useful. Ok it's only a Ram but its great for throwing the ball up high with very little green to work with. Ok, i hear use a 60 deg and open the face up, but why make life difficult for yourself.

Not many manufacturers do a 64deg.

Callaway X Forged Vintage Wedge from DG £89.99
Wilson Deep Red from AG £39.99

Dont know anymore, sorry.

I had a 64, used it on my previous course where there was an elevated green, and if you went off the back, you needed to chuck it 20ft up, but only 4ft forwards.

Since moving clubs, I have stopped using it, as it is not very versatile, and last week snapped it in half, and put it in the wheelie bin.

Very specialist club, and with only 14 in the bag, there is not enough room.

Have a Wilson harmonized up in the loft, hardly ever used it and agree with all murph said.

Nothing worse than blading 64 degree, it goes miles!

For God's sake - some people just never give up do they?
