Marketing and PR Executive Unpaid
Amateur Golf Tour Ltd - Tewkesbury
Marketing graduate required to lead marketing and PR strategy for Gloucestershire based startup golf event brand.

This is a home based unpaid role with no fixed hours.

In return you will get real life brand development, direct marketing, social media and sales experience to help build your CV. The role is unpaid, but if your work results in significant increase to turnover/profit we will consider making a bonus payment.

We have 4 x golf events planned in 2015 and your role is to help us fill the events by developing a marketing strategy. This will involve writing press releases, getting media interest either golfing press or local, social media updates, online advertising, building our contact database, and generally applying your knowledge of PR and marketing to promote and sell our events.

We are also looking for more sponsors, so knowledge of the sponsorship sector would be very helpful.

No experience or interest in golf required, just someone looking for a challenge, enthusiastic, intelligent and with some bright ideas.

I did a degree in Marketing with a dissertation focussing on Sponsorship/Brand Association/Ambient media. Coming out of Uni I would have snapped someone's hand off for an opportunity like this. 14 years too late for me but I imagine they will be inundated with applications as this sort of experience could set a career up nicely. Internships and the like are commonplace in the white collar environment and are often seen as an opportunity to get a foot in the door.

Paid internships are common, but completely unpaid jobs - and this is a job, make no mistake - are less common these days, and shouldn't be encouraged.

That said, I'm sure they'll get a decent number of applications...

is this a wind up?

Help us make more turnover, more profit and get more sponsors and PR/Profile for a Limited company - note its not a charity- and if you make us loads'a'money we might, just might consider a bonus......maybe....and undetermined amount. Why on earth would an anyone with the skill set they require value their skills at ZERO?:eek:

appalling attitude and speaks volumes about the Directors IMO:angry:
