Is anyone a member of this or planning to play on this in 2010?

If so any tips which courses/events are the best value ones to enter?

i joined up but can only afford a couple of the local ones,fulford and ganton maybe. need mega bucks to play the other courses,would be nice though! some or all of the people that have signed on to the competitions must have some serious money as a few of them have put their names down on loads of the different courses

Good courses, good events...just way too expensive for me...

Amatour might be worth a pop though....

I get the feeling that bandits galore would be all over this. Like a real 4 Handicapper with mid double digits to take off his score. Don't think I'd get enough shots!

What are the prizes like?? Has anyone played before??

Can't vouch for the Amatour, but from my experience, this doesn't appear to be an issue on the VMA Tour which monitors and adjust handicaps over and above the usual CONGU levels to try and ensure this doesn't happen.
Certainly having attended the Berkshire event last year, the guys I played with and spoke to on the day all said that banditry was very rarely an issue.
As others have said here - expensive, but very good days out for those able and willing to pay a little extra for the best things in life!

If I don't manage to get to 3 this year I'll be off 16 in two years from then just to get my name on a few trophies.
