Anyone tried them?

I bought a couple of sleeves to try... boy do they stand out in the rough! They are very bright!

They are also quite hard, seem to roll on greens a lot too (from iron approach shots). I like them, shame they are £35 a box!

Paying for the colour IMO. Mate if mine got a box soon as they were available (Vivid Blue) worst colour of all against green for me and hard as diamond. He managed to get them at £30 but for me there are far cheaper options for the same quality of ball (or lack of quality) surlyn covers are surlyn covers. No spin and like diamond off the driver (thought I had cracked the face with the noise it made).
If your greens are even remotely firm, you are not stopping one of these.

Obviously the XT version that Bubba uses will be different (still not urethane though) but at closer to £45 I would be more inclined to give the Vice Pro Soft a go. Far better balls out there for the money. But like in the PXG thread, it's your cash, have at em if you wish.

Actually had one pop out of the range machine the other day so I pocketed it (shhh...) and tried iot on the course. It lasted two holes, felt absolutely awful to me, particularly off the putter.

Never played them but I came across someone at my club last week who was using the red one and had hit it into the rough that ran along the side of the fairway I was on

Personally I didn't think it was the easiest ball to spot in the rough (I had walked within a couple feet of it) so I wouldn't be buying red just on how awkward it was to spot in the rough

my mate found one last summer, he used it for a team even i played with him and was impressed by the fact you could follow the ball from the club face as clear as day. its was one of the bright orange ones, it almost glowed. he said it felt fine of iron and putter and would use them again.

alas, we got bored with the pace of the group in front and decided we all had to play the 8th hole via the 7th Fairway. Trouble is between us and that was a strip of heather about 400 yards long which we all lost or balls in, including the glow in the dark one:rofl:

Saw these for the first time at the range tonight. Dear god. The blue one looks rank and the orange one is much darker than I'd have thought. But the strange thing was when I picked one up, it felt really heavy. No idea, clearly some sort of unconscious thing but it was noticeable enough to pick up a Srixon distance to compare. Still felt heavier

If they glow in the dark (see post #13) then they will be heavier. It's a well known fact that nuclear materials are heavy metals.

I'll get me coat..............

I was given a sleeve of the Volvik Vista iV in a fetching orange colour. According to the box these should suit my swing speed, give a soft feel and decent greenside control. Whilst I didn't notice any difference in weight to any other ball in my back I found them absolutely rock hard and not a ball I would rush to play with again.

Not tried them and I won't be in a hurry to try them either after reading some of the comments. They must be paying Bubba a fortune to use them.

I'd quite like to give them a try actually. They had them for sale in one of the golf shops in St Andrews, but wanted almost as much as a box of Prov1's will have to wait until Baldrick finds some;)

Played a match against someone using the orange ones. Not my cup of tea at all, but I will say it was very easy to see in flight and also when in the rough. You would have to be in big trouble to lose one of those things, they almost glow!
