How come he is there? Has there been a ruling on the deer antler spray that I have missed? If not, when the heck are they going to make a decision? I have nothing against the guy, but the papers were talking about the end of his career, and he's still playing in the majors? Don't get it.

I mentioned this a few weeks ago. Seems the PGA tour are dragging their heels and making a bit of a farce of the whole thing

Oh deer!

Get it?

Just the PGA trying to bury their head in the sand again and hope the issue goes away. Think it's a disgrace that Singh admits he has broken the rules and can rock up at a major

When the PGA make a decision they may or may not tell the World.
If no action is taken they will deem it to be done and dusted sot here's nothing to report.
If they take action and there's something to report then we'll know.

They may have had an investigation, decided there's no real case to answer and shoe-horned the whole thing under the carpet.

Typically spineless.....

And yet they come out all guns blazing when it's suggested that anchoring isn't a good thing when only a handful of their Members will be affected...

Methinks they have their priorities a tad skewed.....

Going to be ridiculous if he has a good finish, let alone if he wins the thing?!

From a purely selfish level, if I were a tour pro and missed the cut by a shot due to Vijay birdie-ing to drop the cut line by shot, I'd be absolutely livid. There's no way that a guy that has admitted using a band substance should have even a 1% chance of affecting whether other players take home a cheque from a tourney.

The way it could pan out is....

If he's suspended as a result of this, all monies and points earned will be withdrawn - effectively DQ'ing him from any event he's played.

So if he does, by some fluke, win the Masters and is then suspended, whoever came 2nd will get the jacket.
Hardly the way anyone wants to win one......
And if 2 or more tie for 2nd, how the hell are they going to sort that out?
Get them back for a sudden death play-off 3 months after the event?

Finchem needs to put his House in order......

I'm sure I heard they say the PGA found him ''not guilty'', that's probably why its not been mentioned since

Interesting if they have - seeing as he's admitted to taking the stuff.........

As I said earlier. if the PGA have done their thing and he's not guilty then, as far as the PGA is concerned, there will not be a report on the matter and it will be closed.
So technically it could drag on for years - if we don't hear anything either they've found him "clean" or just not bothered doing anything....

It's just daft, they're setting themselves up to get in some serious trouble.

Imagine this scenario which could actually happen. Master's leader is a -8 after two days. Top 70 & ties (for arguments sake 78 players) are at +2 (Vijay included). Vijay birdies his last hole to mean that he is in 70th place at +1. Those 7 guys miss out on any pay whatsoever, and with the Masters being as tight as it is, one of those could have easily climbed into the top 20 for a big payday!

I know this is a very extreme idea, and one very unlikely to happen. But if he is found guilty and a scenario like the one above were to happen, there's the remote possibility that players could sue the Tour for loss of earnings. More farfetched trials have gone to court in the US ...

The chances of anything like this happening are extremely slim, but why even risk putting yourself in that position for a guy who has already admitted using a banned substance.

I thought it had all been brushed under the table.

There is no way this is still going on given all the possible ramifications surely?
