Thought I would do a review of my home course.
Not many would even know this course exists purely because its right in the middle
of Taunton itself.
It is 18 holes,however distance wise its very short,but don't be fooled it really is a test
of course management.
It certainly cant be overpowered because too long a hit will get you in trouble on a lot
of holes,however there are a couple of par 4s than can be hit in one.
The fairways will be the tightest you have ever played,some just 30-40 yards wide.
Each fairway is lined by trees so it is paramount to course manage.
You have to learn to take your punishment because a lot of shots will be over,under or
around trees.
The greenkeepers do a great job but being a council run course money is tight so the course
can sometimes look shabby.
£13.50 will get you a round,feel free to pm if you want a game if your ever in Taunton.
We have a 170 yard practice area and nets to warm up in.
New catering people have taken over recently and the food and drink is basic but good.
