i will be caddying for a friend in the assistant pro competition.

really looking forward to the day, ive been a spectator at the course before but never walked around an entire 18holes there.

so wish me luck, and any tips for caddying please let me know!!

(ps i wont be clubbing my mate or giving any golfing advice obviously lol) but if anyone has any gems of caddying knowledge, or any extra ettiquete i should be aware of, feel free to pipe up now :)

do exactly what your player wants you to do, set the rules and parameters at the beginning so your being supportive and he doesnt have to get annoyed with little things your doing that might annoy him. Most of all have fun
 
Make yourself familiar with the local rules especially those in place for the comp. Amazing how many pros (caddies included) were caught out with not knowing this year.
 
Count his clubs, check the local rules carefully (carry them with you), keep him dry and enjoy the course. Played it once magnificent, remember some holes playing longer than card said (my caddy however had it down every time).
