after countless lessons, balls hit on the range, buying clubs, changing them and so forth, I have decided I need to actually play a round :)

looking for someone to take pity on me and unleash me onto a real course

I live in Herts but willing to travel upto an hour, not minted so green fee's must be reasonable.

sounds drastic but I keep putting it off and knowing no one local I am raring to go and getting frustrated.

your kind consideration appreciated :)

not 1 Homer, moved down south 9 yrs ago, single dad with no social life and moved house twice so a bit of a billy no mates (got plenty up north but 300 mile away so logistical nightmare)

my gf is moaning cos I keep buying stuff, going to the range etc and aint played a round yet lol

You are welcome over my place anytime mate. I play at North Weald, near Harlow so probably around 40 mins away?

Otherwise, happy to meet you somewhere else if you fancy? PM me if you want to sort something out. :)

Rob.

as I said on your other post, I work in Stevenage, live in St Neots. I'm free most Saturday mornings, and once it starts getting lighter a good few Friday afternoons too.
You're welcome to come up to Wyboston, or we can fix up at a number of courses - Chesfield, Aston, Panshangar to name a few.

Im up in peterborough, have some good local clubs that are around the £20.00 ish a round.

Feel free to drop me a pm, and im sure we can sort something out. I do sturggle to get out all the time, due to the kids weekend football and dancing, but im sure something can be sorted.

both good courses, of the two I refer TW simply because Orton Meadows is similar to Wyboston. it's long though, must be a couple of years since I last played it.

Thorpe Wood seems to keep cropping up, anyone interested in a 'mini meet' one Saturday morning. I am happy to book some tee times if we can get a few people together. As Viscount said, it is a long course, full on long par 4s.

Greg, just say when

I will see if there is any other interest then look at dates. May be better when the weather improves a little as Thorpe Wood is a bit of a trek when there is no run on your drives.

would be up for a mini meet although the length would kill me possibly

Viscount, I would happily pop upto Wyboston once the weather picks up a little, used to work around Sandy/Bedford so not much further up so know the area quite well

Gibbo

as mentioned before youre always welcome at Aylesbury Vale if not too far a trek, if youre arranging a game at Wyboston I'll try and get across if the date suits

will check out my rota and post up the dates I got free as got a couple of weekdays off next month :)

usually work Mon - Friday which is why I aint joining a club yet as 7 day memberships are out of my range atm

Not being funny but what a sad statement.(not directed at you G1bbo) What's the matter with you southerners?

:D

nah not really, none of my mates around here play golf and wont entertain the idea either so thought it would be an idea to hook up with some friendly folk off gm :)
