Vintage Clubs

I'm looking for advice as to where the best place is to find out the price of vintage clubs. Or hopefully if anyone on here knows ball park figures.

I have:

1 - 4 Wood Ben Sayers, BG4 Persimmon Woods (All with original Headcovers) Steel Shaft
3 - SW George Nicoll (Henry Cotton Autograph) Royale Irons, Stells Shaft
Bronty Gem Putter with Hickory Shaft
Shok Stop Putter, stamped H Carstairs Links. Hickory Shaft
Sleeve of 3 x Dunlop 65 Balls, Original 1.68" Brand New
2 x Sleeves of 3 Penfold Ace, Surlyn 1.68" Balls
Vintage bag with 15 Dividers (New similar models sold by St Andrews Golf Co. for £199.

Not sure about selling them, but may use the Gem Putter as Society Prize for best annual golfer.

could probably list most of my gear as 'vintage'

I'm not an expert but I am interested in old gear and sometimes look out for stuff on e-bay just to see what it goes for. Sometimes it doesn't sell at all.

There's always a few old persimmon woods which generally don't go for much unless in pristine condition and by someone like Macgregor from a particular era (e.g 40's or 50's). Ben Sayers was one of the old club makers but was quite a popular brand with a wider market in the 60's and 70's. A lot would depend on their age.

Old Balls in their wrappers can go for £5-£15 a sleeve/ box but of course as an auction it depends if there are 2 or more people interested. These are mostly the old 1.62 size. Old style 1.68 balls are not so rare.

I'd say from my limited experience the Henry Cotton irons are the best item, especially if in good nick as a possible display item. I did see a set a while back but I'm not sure how much they went for. Maybe £60. I recall a really nicely refurbished set of Fred Daly irons issued to celebrate his Open win in 1947 fetched a good price.

I can only suggest having a bit of a search on e-bay and watching anything that looks similar to see what it fetches. Also look at completed listings. There's a vintage a set of Nicoll clubs that didn't sell first time around despite a starting price of 99p.

I have an original (Tri Whip Hickory Shaft) Spalding Kro-Flite Bobby Jones "Calamity Jane" Putter.
I've seen these go for anything from £100 to almost £1000 on Ebay and other auction sites.I tried to get a valuation a few years ago and was told that at auction it's worth what somebody is prepared to pay for it on the day.
