Victoria??

Just watching the Portugal Masters from Victoria Course and wondered if anyone on here has played it?

Couple of folk I know rave about the place but from what I see on the box I just cannot see what all the fuss is,it looks like a typical resort American style track with big tees,big fairways,big bunkers and big greens and very uninspiring surroundings....am I missing something??

By the way Rory is starting to remind me awfully of Sergio every time I see him play,all the shots but putts like a ***.

Haven't played myself but the brother in law was there last month and said it was pretty poor,watched some of the coverage on Golf Night last night and thought the greens looked poor , they looked like they'd been hollow tined.
That course they played in Spain last week looked a poor effort as well it looked rough as hell and i'll bet it would be expensive to play

Like Steve, haven't played it myself but have played the other Villamoura courses. Victoria seems to be significantly more expensive and those I know who have played it say it's good but not worth the extra and probably wouldn't play it again.
