Just watched Victor D. Getting annoyed with himself at the WGC well I say annoyed he completely lost it, in truth it was hilarious

I always considered Victor to be quite a calm individual not after today, it will probably appear on you tube

I know he was plus 9 for the tourny but for the round he had his fit on he was doing well what set him off?

love how the caddie pretends to be engrossed in the yardage charts book, clearly not getting involved!!!

Indeed! And the way he holds the bag, without looking up, when his man really attacks it!

Other half in the pink shorts?

tbh that's me all over. I'm probably the calmest and most laid back guy you'll ever meet.

But when I loose it, I loose it big time. Happens once in a blue moon thank god.

10 mins later I'll be back to normal though. But stay well clear until then !

I know it was/looked funny but what message does it send out? Especially to the younger golfing fraternity. A 2 shot penalty & suspended for the next tournament he is registered to enter, should be enough to make tour & club players think before throwing a tantrum!

So a potential 6 figure fine in lost winnings for throwing a wee wobbly

Not sure your punishment fits the crime here, now maybe if he's attacked his FC or caddy but hitting his bag with the club is hardly armageddon

I am with @dgparry here. It might not be armageddon, but to be honest, if I were a spectator standing close to that scene, I would feel threatened by it. This is not ice hockey or wrestling. Violence, even if it is only aimed at objects, should have no place on the golf course and there should be a penalty for it.

Are people really suggesting bans and fines ?!

He had a little strop that's all

What about the Garcia shoe incident, and there have been numerous others. What about McIlroy's club chucking at Doral. Should every act of petulance or as some would argue "intensity" be punished and where do you draw the line?
