Vettel on Top Gear.

Having never really 'liked' (having never met him, but you know what I mean), I was surprised at how well he came across on Top Gear.

I'm less inclined to dislike him now.

Damn.

But then again. What a PR opportunity TG was. And I think it worked well for him.

Have to agree he was really funny and came across very very well. And he's not afraid to have a laugh at himself either.

Loved the idea he had to put pictures of all his pit crew on his helmet too.

I'd rather have someone like him win than that boy racer spoiled little brat Hamilton.

As with Alonzo I was a big fan when they were in there 1st F1 teams and the direct opposite when they arrived in top teams.

Vettel is a nob but Christan Horner does his part in making Vettel a nob. What a shame that such a dynamic brand as Redbull is fronted by two such dry people.

I guess winning is winning and its not like they are doing anything that Ferrari and Schumacher did not, its just they seemed to have learned nothing from that time.

I used to kart with Jenson and used to see alot of Lewis and Anthony in the paddock. When Jenson was a Renault buying boats and being an ass and then driving really badly, he and Robby Williams used to come to my Kart track late at night and do some Karting and play some cards. At that point Jenson was so wrapped up in himself that super star Robby came across so much more balanced than Jenson.It was very easy to hate Jenson at the time. Now though I see him as one of the most balanced guys on the grid, he always says something interesting and calm and thought about.

On the other hand, Lewis would come in with his dad, talk to everyone with his wide eyes, he cared about nothing apart from the karting and meeting people. he was a really lovely little boy and you always thought "wow his dad really brought him up right"

Now Lewis is too big for his dad who worked 3 jobs to buy his son parts for his Kart and Jenson is a true blue eyed boy.

Who would i rather have a pint with,Hamilton or Vettel ?
I'd have to say Vettel.Not only did he come across as a nice guy on Top Gear,i also like the way he conducts himself during the race's,he's far more calculated and fair,whereas Hamilton is more Kamikaze,and win at any cost.

Yeah I was taken back by Vettel on Top Gear this week.

Before the show I was another who had a little 'dislike' towards him but now I really like him. He seemed like a really funny person and I thought his humour was brilliant.

Not saying I'd be cheering him on too much though as I do want the Brits to win but after the Brits he's allowed!

He came over as a top bloke as well as a great driver.

I think it was a fantastic PR opportunity as was said earlier but I don't think many would have handled themselves so well and come out of it with as many Brits warming to them as he has.

Still shouting for Lewis and Jenson though - just maybe a little less disturbed when Seb wins it (again and again and again)
