useful lesson from club pro

Didn't play much over the winter then expected to come out this year and play
at the same level as last year.
Well game in bits couldn't get the dam round thing off the tee
So went to our new club pro ( Rob ) thinking change driver or change swing.
He gets me to warm up then puts me on the video screen.
Well what a revelation not as bad as I thought swing as good as ever just not turning my right shoulder
as far as I was and letting the club head get in front of my hands on the down swing.
Easy to sort with a bit more practice. the point of this post really is that the faults I had I could not
spot myself but the club pro spotted it in seconds, so if you have a swing problem use your club pro
that's what they are there for. Oh and he didn't try and sell me a new driver

It's a revelation to see your own swing. I personally think video works for golf better than any other sport. With a pro to point out the errors it's ideal.

an ex club captain had a horrendous swing- I mean it was like a comedy swing exagerrated and he had no idea. He could literally send a driver off at 85* right or hit a foot behind on the tee.

One video and he was visibly shocked to see what he was doing, and could easily see what to change immediately and started enjoying golf again.

We have a woman at our place whose swing is so awful I can't bear to look at it - hurts my eyes. I swear she has no idea and would be destroyed to see it on video...hmmm, might take my phone out on the course
