Going for his first major!
Going for his first major!
i think one of the commentators was having a dig about that, they gave a close up of a pin placement card in a trap and they said jokingly it could be MONTYS dry cleaning ticket,to stiffled laughs .Great to see him doing well, think he'll definitely pick up more senior majors. Don't think the heat will do him any favours in the last round, forecast to be 100 degrees
He also gets a crack at The US Open as well as the USPGA next year, and who's to say he wont go on to get 3 with the Seniors Open later this month.Surely the Knighthood is in the post now.
2 Majors in one season.
Well done Monty.....arise Sir Colin.
and great news for golf viewers too, as while he's playing, he's not on the pundit couch on sky![]()

He's probably going to be even less tolerable from now on!
Having met him a couple of times away from tournaments, in a group and individually, he really is a cheery, likeable guy. Completely different to when in 'tournament' mode!
Montys an intense competitor and it shows on the golf course, he wants to win and did so and dominated European golf for years and now he's doing the same on the seniors. The guys at work on course and people need to remember that, ive caddied for a lot of guys just the same as Monty very intense on course but have a great sense of humour off and are great to be around.I think Montys really enjoying he's recent success but I cant help but think he so wants one of those reg tour majors that he's now qualified for, and it would be great if he pulled it off.
